Thank you for your replay @offhub!

Today I completely disengage anything unnecessary via Tray: All ESET Internet Security modules temporary down, QFX KeyScrambler temporary completely OFF, HitmanPro.Alert temporary completely OFF, Internet Download Manager temporary completely OFF, AdGuard VPN temporary completely OFF.

So, I think that I do everything as you instructed via Sandboxie.ini file now, and I also make some Screenshot picture, as the picture talks thousand words:

Code: Select all

But I still cannot get any positive result all here, and I can also confirm, that the Adguard.BrowserExtensionHost.exe process is not engaged as sandboxed at all. :(

After starting Firefox in the sandbox, does Adguard.BrowserExtensionHost.exe run outside the sandbox?

What about browsers other than Firefox?

Well, today I was testing all this on a completely other PC with Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSC x64 OS installed, and here your instructions miraculously works! :)

On that working computer the complete content of the Sandboxie.ini file is:

Code: Select all

[GlobalSettings]

TemplateReject=Adguard
Template=Edge_Fix
Template=VirtualDesktopManager
Template=OfficeClickToRun
Template=RpcPortBindings
Template=Windows10CoreUI
Template=InternetDownloadManager
Template=AdobeLicensing
Template=AdobeDistiller
Template=KeyScrambler
Template=NOD32
Template=WindowsRasMan
Template=SynapticsTouchPad
Template=WindowsLive
Template=OfficeLicensing
OpenPipePath=Adguard.BrowserExtensionHost.exe,\Device\NamedPipe\????????-????-????-????-????????????
OpenPipePath=Adguard.BrowserExtensionHost.exe,\Device\NamedPipe\Adguard*
OpenIpcPath=Adguard.BrowserExtensionHost.exe,*\BaseNamedObjects*\Adguard*
OpenIpcPath=Adguard.BrowserExtensionHost.exe,*\BaseNamedObjects*\net.pipe:?bmV0LnBpcGU6Ly8rL0FER1VBUkRBUElFTkRQT0lOVC8=

[DefaultBox]

ConfigLevel=10
AutoRecover=y
BlockNetworkFiles=y

RecoverFolder=%Personal%
RecoverFolder=%Desktop%
BorderColor=#00FFFF,ttl
Enabled=y
AutoDelete=y
NeverDelete=n
CopyLimitKb=117794
LingerProcess=firefox.exe

[UserSettings_08DA01C0]

SbieCtrl_UserName=user
SbieCtrl_BoxExpandedView=DefaultBox
SbieCtrl_NextUpdateCheck=1707721540
SbieCtrl_UpdateCheckNotify=n
SbieCtrl_ShowWelcome=n
SbieCtrl_WindowCoords=100,129,1292,632
SbieCtrl_ActiveView=40021
SbieCtrl_AutoApplySettings=n
SbieCtrl_RecoverTarget=C:\Temp
SbieCtrl_SaveRecoverTargets=y
SbieCtrl_ProcessViewColumnWidths=250,70,300
SbieCtrl_HideWindowNotify=n

So, this working code is slightly different then that I post a previous one on this forum thread and from still not working issue which is happening on Microsoft Windows IoT 10 Enterprise 2021 LTSC x64 OS....

All in all, in next few days I will try to do a big, thorough, eliminate and systematic test here, I will use some spare SSD and barebone install on it a completely clean Microsoft Windows IoT 10 Enterprise 2021 LTSC x64 OS, and then the Mozilla Firefox, Sandboxie, and AdGuard with default settings, to see what will happen then.

I will post the result of that big experiment here after that.

Till then my best regards!
