Sandboxed Firefox Shortcut with New Window Command Does Not Work

Post by SBTL »

Hi,
I have made a shortcut to open Firefox sandboxed and with a new window but it’s not working. Sometimes it will open and ask if I want to restore a session, and I can just click no, but most times it opens everything that is running in the un-sandboxed version of Firefox – which is loads of windows and tabs...

Target:
"C:\ALL MY PROGRAMS\GENERAL SYSTEM PROGRAMS\SANDBOXIE PLUS\Sandboxie-Plus\Start.exe" /box:DefaultBox "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -new-window

If I right click on a normal FF shortcut with the same command, and tell it to open sandbxoed it does the same thing.

Target:
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -new-window

If I use that same normal shortcut without sandboxing it, it works fine - it opens a new window.

Is there any way to force it to do as it’s told please?...

BTW, trying to post this comment is really hard when it keeps asking me to sign back in pretty much every time I click preview or submit - which loses the text I wrote >.<

I go to sign in and it says
“The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.”
Then use the exact same sign in details again and it works...

Is that still and issue with recent versions of Firefox and Sandboxie? If you made it work somehow, please let us know.
