Maybe you can control the start via resource access settings.

Those can be configured in the user interface, in the Sandbox Options > Resource Access

I am not aware of a detailed tutorial.

ClosedFilePath blocks access to one or multiple specified paths (and files), possibly preventing something to start.
ClosedIPCPath blocks access to resources.

Maybe you can identify the relevant files and resources with the built-in trace log feature.
