Used DC at XP pc, pass not working on win10

Hi

I used DiscCryptor on an old external drive on XP tabletop. Since the windows versions changed and DC did not yet have support for win7 the drive was left out of use, crypted.

Now there is support on DC for newer windows but unfortunately the pass I remember does not work anymore. Is it possible that the version change affected the pass or did I just mix up the pass after so long time?

And yes, I know it is not possible to dig the pass from the drive when it's crypted.. Would be the easiest way to check it.

I don't use this software, nor do I know something about the history of the project, so David will have to explain if your suspicion has something to it. It seems like a bad idea to break backwards compatibility without mentioning it, so my guess is that you remember the password incorrectly.

This issue is still open: does the OS and/or hardware change affect the use of DCd external drive? I read something about "losing the header" on some cases when OS changes but I might have misunderstood.
