Use Dark Theme

1.16.8 is set to Use Dark Theme. My 1.16.8 UI is not using dark theme. Comments how to invoke "Dark Theme"?
 
I also never had problems with enabling the dark mode.

Options > Global Settings > Interface Config > [User interface] > "Use Dark Theme"
Unchecked, it won't be used, the light theme will be used.
Partly checked, it depends on conditions, like what kind of view mode is enabled, maybe it can read what the system is set to and uses that.
Checked, the dark theme will be applied regardless.

One thing it could be is that it is not fully checked. Apart from that, it should just work. For me, it works to switch between dark mode and light mode. When it is set to partly checked, the user interface stays in light mode.

@bjm_ Click the checkbox once more and what happens when you apply the change? That checkbox is actually tri-state, but your UI isn’t showing the empty/partial/full states correctly. You’re probably missing some style files, so you only see ‘empty’ and ‘full’ instead of the partial state.

Yeah....I'm only seeing two states. So, all checkboxes are tri-state? Might an over install fix missing "style files"? Wonder what went wonky. I was Dark Theme and then I wasn't Dark Theme.

Hello @offhub
Okay....tried over install and bumped into COM Surrogate. So, I tried Stop All and then over install and bumped into COM Surrogate.
So, renamed Sandboxie.ini & Sandboxie-Plus.ini. Then over install was able to see three states....then, rename .ini's back. And tweak a few Interface Options. Next time....re-install retaining Sandboxie.ini might be better way to go. THANKS!
