The new addition of ImDisk v3.0 driver

If a previous version was already added in 2023 (also in changelog) then:
  1. Why wasn't the following question also asked back then?
  2. If one answers No, will it keep the previous version or just don't have it at all?
  3. If one answers No, how and is it possible to later still get it?

The same question has been posted here.

1) Unknown to me, but maybe the update of the component made him provide an option for those that would not need to install, since they are not going to use the features it is used for.
2) For me, it did not remove the already installed version, when the check-box was not checked. (I assume that it is not supposed to remove it, anyway.)
3) You could re-run the installer (or the latest version of it) and check the option. You can download the component. ImDisk3.0_Full.zip (or a later) contains a imdisk.inf which you have to right-click and then select install. (The removal works over the Windows Control panel, according to the readme)
 
  1. the component was previously only available over the addon manager int he settings and not installed by default
  2. if you choose no nothing will be changed
  3. if you choose no you can still install it over the addon manage
