Some settings were reset in Chrome

Hi.

The new version of chrome 142.0.7444.176 (Official Build) (64-bit) in windows 10, give me the message when i try update chrome:
- " Some settings were reset. Chrome detected that some of your settings were corrupted by another program and reset them to their original defaults. Learn more"
The other thing I saw is the home icon is missing in toolbar.
This only happens with chrome sandboxie.
With version Version 142.0.7444.163 everything it´s ok.

Disable (not manual) Chrome Elevation Service.

Can be worth a try, since that service checks the configuration for changes and tries to restore them. For example, when a non-administrative user made changes. The sandboxie user may be considered as such, as the account does not have any privileges. (The integrity level is UNTRUSTED)

Disable (not manual) Chrome Elevation Service.
Thanks for your reply.

Don't solve the problem in the last version and in the version 142.0.7444.163 it´s indifferent have chrome elevation service disable or not, because they work in any case.

Try the following line in your ini file
Code:
NormalFilePath=chrome.exe,%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*

Do you use a red box (Security Hardened Sandbox with Data Protection) for Chrome?

The problem is only when I run chrome sandboxie.

Did you change settings in Chrome, while it was sandboxed? Do your settings of Sandboxie permit to make permanent changes to the profile that's on the host? If, yes, maybe this is what is detected during the update.

The line in ini file don´t result. I use standard sandbox.

I make changes outside sandboxie in chrome and, after that, I run chrome sandboxie to assume the changes I have make, and like I tell you I don´t have problems with versions of chrome before 142.0.7444.176 (Official Build) (64-bit), like 142.0.7444.163 (Official Build) (64-bit).

On every Chrome update or version upgrade, always disable Chrome Elevation Service. Most likely, your settings will be retained unless they change something else.

Thanks man.

I think you solve this issue.
Yesterday and today everything seems to be ok.
This problem with versions of chrome before 142.0.7444.163 (Official Build) (64-bit) don´t need disable Chrome Elevation Service, at least in my case.
I have disable Chrome Elevation Service before I update from 142.0.7444.163 to 142.0.7444.176 but don't solve the problem.
Then after your reply I see again this service and it was enable again, and this seems be the problem.

Many thanks Mr. X and Of course bastik-1001.
