Unfortunately, Sandboxie is extremely complicated to use and not transparent for normal users.

I want to achieve the following:

Behavior exactly like Windows Sandbox:

EVERYTHING is deleted after exiting the sandbox. Only cut/paste operations are possible to transfer data to the current system.

I don't understand the title of your thread.

Auto deleting the contents of a sandbox can be enabled per sandbox. Right-click on a sandbox in the main window and open the Sandbox Options. Select File Options in the left column. In the now opened File Options tab, you can set "Auto delete content changes when last sandboxed process terminates". The section is labeled "Box Delete options".

Sandbox Options > File Options > [File Options] > "Auto delete content changes when last sandboxed process terminates"

If you mind being prompted to recover files, which triggers when new files are created and Sandboxie asks if you want to move something out of the sandbox, you can disable that. Sandbox Options > File Options > [File Recovery] > "Enable Immediate recovery prompt to be able to recover files as soon as they are created." (Uncheck that box)

When you create a new box, you can set this, when you check "Configure advanced options". The next page gives those options.

My suggestion is to introduce a new sandbox type with only the following functions as default settings. It should be really easy to use, preferably without requiring any special operation. This should then satisfy around 80% of all average security-conscious PC users.

• Each start provides a new empty sandbox. Multiple instances are not possible at the same time.

• Exception: Data is retained by restarts initiated within the sandbox. This is useful for applications that require a restart.

• Network connection can be disabled if desired.

• The host's printer can be shared with the sandbox if desired.



• Software installed on the host is not available in the sandbox.

• Applications required within the sandbox must be explicitly installed there.

• Files and programs can be opened in the sandbox to check them for viruses or other malicious content and to test them.

• Unknown or potentially dangerous websites can be visited in the sandbox

• Automatically and permanently delete all data and applications after closing the sandbox



• Clipboard enabled. The sandbox shares the host clipboard with the sandbox so that text and files can be pasted back and forth.

Maybe there can be a template to get what you want. The default settings could also be less permissive, but maybe that makes people that are used to these defaults unhappy. David has to decide what can be done about it.
