Sandboxie started to prevent Office 365 functioning

After installing Sandboxie 5.70.9 (same with .11) My Microsoft 365 Apps for business /enterprise crashed when ever I tried to open Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.. Reinstalling Office was also impossible.
The problem was only solved when I removed Sandboxie. After that I was able to install Office back.
Then reinstalled Sandboxie 5.70.11 and the problem come back. Can't open any Office programs. Teams works.
Removed Sandboxie again and Office started to work again.
So I'm not able to use Sandboxie right now.
How could this be fixed. Didn't have any problems before.

Test whether it works in previous versions. If it doesn't, the issue could be due to an incompatibility caused by a recent Microsoft update. Check the link below—it might match your case. Additionally, please provide the installed version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 on your system, as this could help diagnose the problem.

My Visual C++ is version 14.42.34438.0 both 32 and 64 bit versions.
With Sandboxie 5.70.4 (64-bit) Office is still working after I installed it. It only brakes after upgrading to .9 or .11 versions.

Correction. Office stopped working after reboot even with the older version.
Started to work again after removing Sandboxie and rebooted.

I got the same problem. You don't need to uninstall the Sandboxie, just kill the Sandboxie processes when using any office product. It's awkward, I know, but until there's a fix that's the workaround.

Ok, the program developer answered that going to "Configure" - "Software compatibility" and then removing the + from the "Microsoft Office Click-to-Run fixes this.

Tried that and it works. No more need to kill the Sandboxie process.

Yeah, Sandboxie and Office don’t seem to play well together. I ran into this too—Outlook and Word just wouldn’t open with it installed. I ended up reinstalling with an Office 2024 Pro Plus for Windows 11, and that worked perfectly once Sandboxie was out. Teams still ran fine, so at least some apps weren’t broken. For now, keeping Sandboxie off when using Office seems to be the only way it won’t crash.
