Sandboxie-plus tooltips and documentation?

Hi, Could we get tooltips for each part of the user interface of sandboxie-plus? There are a lot of different settings in the program and it is not always easy to understand their purpose. Tooltips would be a great help for that.

It would also be good to have a few best practice examples somewhere in help-section of how to make a safe sandbox for different purposes? There are ready-made templates for creating boxes, which is a good thing. I often also edit the settings of ready-made templates. Since I don't fully understand the effects of all the settings, I adjust them according to my own understanding.

If I understand right, that not all settings can be made from the user interface? Discussions often suggest editing the ini file. Is there a list of settings that can only be accessed by editing the ini file?

Sandboxie-plus is a very great program. Unfortunately, I have the feeling that I don't know how to use all its features properly.

Some tooltips have been added, and there is at least one issue open that suggests adding more. The description should be improved whenever possible, since that will be better than adding tooltips that repeat the same. The documentation needs to be improved, as it can be far more detailed.

To my knowledge, there is no such list. Something I suggested required a list to validate the configuration, but that issue is still open. If there is a list, it will be outdated, since there were recent additions. The documentation is unfortunately lagging behind.

Thanks to offhub, starting with Sandboxie-Plus 1.16.x there's now a file SbieSettings.ini. It gets installed during the installation process and is constantly updated.

The user interface makes use of the file, when the integrated INI-Editor is used to validate the configuration and provides tooltips for options as well as other information. It can be used to autocomplete names of options.

The file can be opened with a text editor, allowing users to search for options, if they don't want to use the internal INI editor.
