Problem running application that uses msedgewebview2

The Turtle WoW game launcher uses MS Edge Webview 2 and 99% of the time it starts, it will start with this extra bit of whitespace on the right side. Out of at least 20-30 attempts at starting the application, it has started correctly twice.

Any attempts to interact with the UI of the application causes it to freeze up and become unresponsive.

Sandboxie-Plus version: 1.15.12 using the SandMan.exe executable to manage sandboxes.
Box Type: Standard
Program installation location: Only inside the sandbox

I've seen a couple of apparently related issues on the github issue tracker, which led me to try adding ExternalManifestHack=msedgewebview2.exe,y to the box's Sandbox.ini section. The change is correctly listed in the SandMan UI as well, but it does not prevent or help this issue.

All other box options/settings are default and haven't been changed.

The main website for the project is: https://turtle-wow.org/ and a direct link to the installer would be: https://launcher.turtle-wow.org/api/launcher/TurtleWoW.exe?download=bunny

Any help resolving this issue would be much appreciated!

Hello,

just for testing, you could try if the program starts correctly and can be interacted with in an application compartment box. It is supposed to be more compatible.

I wasn't able to switch the Box Types (all grayed out), but using this page: https://sandboxie-plus.com/compartment-mode/ I did create a copy of the box and modify the Sandboxie.ini section for the copy to include NoSecurityIsolation=y which did change it correctly to Application Compartment in the UI.

The only thing that changed was that it was responsive for slightly longer. In the original box, it's instantly unresponsive. In the copy, it's responsive for maybe 5 seconds.

Then it might be a bug or incompatibility between Sandboxie and msedgewebview2, which the developer should look into.

This was my motivation for posting here actually.

Other than github (because I won't make an account there) is there a better place to have it looked at?
