popup “minimize” and “close” does not disappear

Has anyone noticed that the “minimize” and “close” popups in Firefox no longer disappear when you move the cursor over them until the text ‘minimize’ or “close” appears?
If you don't really close Firefox, the popups remain permanently until you really close Firefox,
Since this behavior only occurs with sandboxed Firefox, it must be a bug in Sandboxie.

Hello,

which version of Firefox do you have this issue with? What Sandboxie version (e.g. 1.15.12) are you running? What is the Windows version (e.g. Windows 11 24H2; maybe even the build 26100.4351) this happens on?

Can you please share the global settings and the settings for the sandbox with the problem?

One option that can cause UI glitches is BlockScreenCapture=y

I always have the latest versions.

The error has been going on for some time now and several updates have been made to both Windows and sandboxie. I was hoping that some update would make the problem go away, but just yesterday I updated sandboxie and again no change, so I've posted here now.

I have the problem on three different computers.

Here on the laptop currently Windows 11 24H2 26100.4351, Sandboxie 5.70.12 (64bit). The other computers are still running earlier versions of Sandboxie.

Changing the BlockScreenCapture setting has not helped either.

I have attached the sandboxie.ini, I have not found anything else, are these the settings you need? If not, how can I retrieve them?

Hello,

this is really strange. Should I really be the first to notice this problem, or really the only one to have this problem? It's unlikely, especially as it's been going on for months, I was hoping for updates that the problem would go away at some point. And that on three different computers.

So far, there are no reports that have been made at the GitHub issue tracker. I don't know if David has received reports via e-mail or the troubleshooting tool.

I don't know if that is because, they did not bother to report it. There are users of Firefox and Sandboxie, but I don't know what systems they use.

Unfortunately, I don't understand the answer.

Where should I try that? In the sandboxie.ini file?

Just insert the line somewhere?

Insert it in the ini file, where the sandbox config is, not global or user settings.

It is supposed to work, when it is placed in the global settings, in which case it applies to all sandboxes.

This will be the way it is in the version that is soon to be released (Sandboxie-Plus 1.16.9), the template change will apply to all sandboxes.

Starting with Sandboxie-Plus 1.16.9, which has been released on the 2nd January 2026, this is supposed to be no longer an issue, users would need to apply a workaround for.
