Open Excel File Stuck at Starting Microsoft Excel...

Hey together,
im new and try to use Sandboxie to improve the security of my system.
i try to open an Microsoft 365 Excel Sheet with a macro over Sandboxie Plus.
Unfortunatly i get an Error SandboxieCrypto.exe SBIE2211 Sandboxed service failed to start CryptSvc.
The Microsoft Excel Starting... Popup is visable but will stuck and nothing will load.
Also if i try to open an sample Excel Sheet which i create before without anything besite some Test data.
I checked the webpage with the errorcode below but it didn´t help me at this case.
https://sandboxie-plus.com/sandboxie/sbie2211/
I dont install something because MS Excel is already installed and the Service Crypto.exe is running under Windows.
The Excel Sheet which i try to open is located under the folder C:\temp\Sampel.xlsx (sheet whitout macro just as test)
Without Sandboxie Excel starts normally and can open the Excel Sheet

I try to run the Excel Sheet with the function Run As UAC Administrator but that not change anything.

Have someone any idea why the service cryptSvc will not start in Sandboxie?
Thank you

Here is my config from Sandboxie

OS: Windows 25H2 (OS Build 26200.8037)
MS Office: Version 2508 Build 16.0.19127.20570 64 bit
Sandboxie Plus 1.17.2

Hello,

can this be reproduced with any Excel sheet containing a macro?

I ask to get to know if the developer can easily reproduce this.

Also if i try to open an sample Excel Sheet which i create before without anything besite some Test data.

Maybe, I fail to understand that the error is shown, even without any macro, but I am not sure if that is the case.

Hi, I've got some questions for you:
  1. If you are new to Sandboxie, how do you have such non-default settings in your ini file such as OpenCredentials=y, BlockInterferenceControl=y, AllowCoverTaskbar=y, AllowSpoolerPrintToFile=y, SysCallLockDown=y, DropAdminRights=y, FakeAdminRights=y ?
  2. Do you have MS Office installed on your system or installed in a sandbox?
  3. Afaik and recall, Office is not compatible with Sandboxie.
  4. Also this is a non-default setting: Template=RpcPortBindingsExt, how is it you have it?
  5. Is it a yellow box (standard sandbox) or a red, blue, green, orange box?
I'm curious. Maybe I'm missing something.

Hey Mr,
i appriciate your feedback,

I test different settings and read some other Post regarding the other issue I got and ajust the settings
The sbie2213 was the other Message which i got everytime but with the settings change it will not popsup again
In the wiki which is linked to the issue sbie2213 there is the recomandation to set OpenCredentials=y

Some other settings was also selected because of the description. Like the Printer Spooler which i guess that i need it.

However i reset the settings Installed everything new.
And select the yellow Sandbox option.
Excel is installed on the Host System not in the Sandbox.
So i do a right click on the Excel file select Run Sandboxed and then the default box

Then after a second the Message from Sandboxie popsup sbie2211

Here the Settings after the reinstall.
Please let me know if there are some issues in.

Hey Bastik-1001,
thank you for your support,
the Excel file i try to open is currently without any macro. It is a simple excel sheet with only Test as content.
Also that will not start and facing me the issue.

Is there maybe a error log where i can see more details ?

Thank you again for your support
