Multiple Sandboxie instances issue persists after uninstalling recent Windows 11 24H2 update

Hello everyone,

After updating to Windows 11 version 24H2, I started experiencing issues with Sandboxie-Plus where I can open up to five sandboxed instances, but any more than that fail to open properly and show grey, unresponsive windows.

I have uninstalled the most recent problematic Windows update (KB5065426), but an older related update (KB5064401) was reinstalled automatically and the issue persists. Despite my attempts to block the update, it keeps reinstalling itself.

I have also tried reinstalling Sandboxie-Plus and resetting configurations, but the problem continues.

Has anyone else faced similar sandbox instance limitations or issues with Sandboxie after Windows 11 24H2 updates? Are there any effective solutions or workarounds?

Hello, have you tried with Sandboxie-Plus 1.16.3?

This version got validated to work with Windows build 27934. It hopefully fixes your issue as well.

Yes, I have 1.16.3, but not solved.

In the end, the problem wasn't Sandboxie, it was an app that caused this after its last update, but Sandboxie isn't the culprit, and neither is the Windows Update.
