I can only run 4 instances of the Sparta game from Plarium simultaneously!

I can only run 4 instances of the Sparta game from Plarium simultaneously, why? Are there limitations from Sandboxie or Plarium?

Maybe this is a bug in Sandboxie, as someone reported something similar, even though it wasn't Sandboxie's fault in the end.

Since Sandboxie had its sources released, there is no arbitrary limitation on the amount of boxes that can be started at the same time, nor the processes that can be started. It's only limited by the resources that are available.

Maybe the game is not supposed to be started more than 4 times.

What happens when you try to start a 5th instance? (e.g. Nothing at all. Error message.)

Until today I had no problem running 10 instances at once, now the 5th instance opens and remains like that, suspended, without starting.

There was no intentional change in Sandboxie to cause this. Did you update Sandboxie or the game, after you had been able to run 10 instances of it?

Thank you, for the information. This is a strange issue, maybe the developer can look into it.

Please mention the version of Windows and the Sandboxie version you are using.

Did you get any messages or errors from either Sandboxie or the game? If so, what are they stating? Did you run in it on the real system before and can you test if it works without Sandboxie? If you have used it with a previous version of Sandboxie, can you go back to that version and check if that is a regression in Sandboxie?

It appears to be likely that the game developer reduced the number of concurrent connections from 10 to 4.

with plarium play update 10.9 i cant open more castles than five

Hello, can you downgrade to a previous version of Plarium Play, to test if they changed their software to limit simultaneous connections? If you are on Windows 10, you could try a previous version of Sandboxie, to check if a change in Sandboxie caused that.

The latest version of Windows 11 is known to have problems with versions before Sandboxie-Plus 1.16.4. In 1.16.4 there were changes in the driver to be compatible with the latest version of Windows 11.

I have Windows 10. I tried to remove the latest update from Plarium Play, but now without that specific update it won’t let you log in at all, so there’s no way to play using a previous version. I also tried older versions of Sandboxie and had the same result.

Thank you for testing. If older version of Sandboxie have the same problem with the amount of connections you can make, the game developer changed something. Maybe they can tell you if it was intentional or just an accident.

It's ridiculous! I have 4 Sandboxie apps running, each of which has 10 cities. Therefore, I have a total of +50.
Unfortunately, I cannot switch between cities now! I have to delete them and then re-enter their details manually.
Very time-consuming = potential loss of troops/resources.

PLEASE SORT THIS!

I believe this was done in the last plarium update, this was a forced update stopping you playing the game unless you updated.
The old system worked like this:- each plarium opened gave you 10 game accounts and you could choose what account you wanted to open and play but only one account at a time, using sandibox you could open another plarium giving you options to another 10 accounts. 4 or 5 lots opened would give you 40 or 50 accounts.
with the latest plarium update 10.9.0-0.0.0 when you open plarium in sandbox you can see all ten accounts but only access the first one, if you try to choose switch to another of the 10 say the 2nd account, the list you choose from goes blank and the game seems to freeze giving you no access.
I think plarium are trying to make people only have 10 accounts not 50 and I do not think it is a problem with sandbox. I also find that opening 5 cases of plarium play and running 5 instances of the game maxes my cpu out. I have a good cpu 32 gig of ram on a 3xs gaming laptop.
may I suggest once you have 5 open and start to get problems open task manager and check you cpu and memory usage. you will be running 5 lots of flash wrap and this eats up your cpu.
