I've been using Sandboxie for around 15 years, back in the day when it was still being developed by Ronen Tzur.

FORUM.XANASOFT.COM

I'm not sure when this FORUM.XANASOFT.COM site was created, but happy to be here now. Unless I'm mistaken this forum is currently the primary discussion platform for anything related to Xanasoft products; even though they also have their own Github discussion pages?

What I find particularly useful about this forum, is the ability to subscribe to email notifications about new releases. But, of course, there are also many "hidden diamonds" in the discussion threads. Too many to read all at once, so I'll be trying to catch up on everything as my time allows.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently a gamedev student, living in Finland, studying at the Riveria/Outokumpu campus.

If you want to find out more about me, or just have a friendly chat, drop me a message.

Also, if you're ever visiting Northern Karelia / Finland, I'm open to having a beer and playing chess with likeminded nerds. =)

Cheers!

Hello and welcome.

Unless I'm mistaken this forum is currently the primary discussion platform for anything related to Xanasoft products; even though they also have their own Github discussion pages?

Not all of them have their discussion section enabled at GitHub. GitHub should be most useful for bug reports and feature requests, since it allows labeling them, track them, refer to them, and so on. In theory, the more technical the discussion or question is, the better it would be posted on the GitHub discussion page, since there are more people with a technical understanding.

What I find particularly useful about this forum, is the ability to subscribe to email notifications about new releases.

You can also subscribe to GitHub releases, which is a far more reliable to get updates. Development takes place on GitHub so, releases are going to happen there anyway. On here, David has to post the news about the update or I have to be around to do that. For Sandboxie, the main website and the internal updater are a bit delayed to notify about updates, since enough users install new releases right away after they appear on GitHub, and report something to be broken. Potentially, this allows to catch major breaking bugs before they are shipped/offered to a larger set of users.
