Does direct messages work?
I'm not finding how to send new direct message?
Am I too newbie to send private messages?
 
In the top row, on the right-hand side, next to your username, there should be an icon of an envelope. If you click it, it pops up and you can click on "Send private message". Then you can add the user you want to send it to and the text. This should be reachable from any part of the forum.

You can also hover of a username and it will pop up some information about the user, as well as a button to "Send direct message", where the user is preselected as recipient.

Users may have disabled someone being able to send them private messages.
 
I sent you a direct message, to check if you can receive them.

If you click on "Show all" do you see a button with the label "Send direct message" on the right-hand side of the page that opens up?
 
DMs may not be available yet if your account is still listed as a New Member. I’m not sure about the exact criteria for becoming a Member, but it’s likely based on how active you are or how many posts you’ve made.
 
Maybe there was a recent change in the settings. Last month I got DMs, lt least one of someone who signed up that day without any posts being made. Maybe that is part of a ANTI-SPAM setting.

Strange, your status changed, and my guess was that the limitations don't apply to staff. Maybe it's bound to the role. But then again, it should be tied to the rank. Maybe, you can log out and back in, to check if that has any effect.
 
Yeah, I'm going to help here cleaning all the mess spammers make.
I want to ask you something privately.
