Brave browser starts minimized

Hello,
I have been using version 1.9.8 along with Brave browser for a long time without the minimizing issue.
After updating to the latest Sandboxie version, the Brave browser(my only forced program) is automatically minimized each time I open the browser. *I don't get any errors*.
I would appreciate help.

Hello,

Can you reproduce this, if you open Brave manually in the sandbox it is forced into?

If it happens with the same sandbox, does it work with a new (empty) sandbox?

If I manually right click on Brave's desktop icon and press "Run Sandboxed", it's working fine(not minimized).
If I double click on Brave's desktop icon as forced program(as I always did on v1.9.8), it's automatically minimized and I have to manually hover to the opened browser to enter full screen.
I've tired a new sandbox, but the issue persists.

Thank you for testing. Luckily, Brave works and direct full screen works when the browser is started manually. My hope was that it was going to work with a new sandbox, due to something left-over in the "old" box preventing it from functioning. Unfortunately, I can't point to something else to try. It should not matter if you use the template to force brave or manually added brave.exe to the forced processes.

What system do you use? E.g. Windows 11 24H2. Maybe the developer can test if that is something that occurs only with specific versions of Windows.

Does someone have the same issue? (Counterexamples, where forcing Brave into a sandbox, still works as intended with Sandboxie Plus 1.15.12 could be helpful as well.)

I had to install version 1.9.8 again to fix this weird issue. I wish I could avoid using a version from 2023 :\ . It happened on an older machine and continues on a new machine with a clean installation of Win10.

  1. Add the following setting to sandbox config and test it:
    • INI:
      NoRestartOnPCA=y
  2. If Step 1 fails, test with a new Brave profile:
    • Take a backup just in case
