I only have Portable version and I set it up to launch multiple instances, which works fine unsandboxed.
But now, when launching sandboxed, I can't launch another pdf unsandboxed simultaneously or vice versa, because I get this full Error message:

Another instance of PDF-XChange Viewer is already running.
Please close other instances of PDF-XChange Viewer before
launching PDF-XChange Viewer Portable.

I've already set my Default programs and Firefox Settings, to launch pdf using the portable exe. But no avail.
 
Maybe multiple instances don't like to see each other running.

HideNonSystemProcesses=y hides any non-system process from software inside the sandbox.

This can be enabled or disabled in the Sandbox Options, if the user interface is set to "Advanced View". Sandbox Options > Advanced Options > [Processes]

It's worth a try.
